But they scored 11 runs and the match was tied.
Earlier, India batted first at the Dubai International Stadium after winning the toss and scoring 202 runs for 5 wickets with Abhishek Sharma’s fifty. Abhishek, who has been in the run chase throughout the tournament, scored 61 runs off 31 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes. Tilak remained unbeaten on 49 off 34 balls with 4 fours and 1 six. Samson, despite hinting at a big haul, stopped short of scoring 39 runs off 23 balls with 1 four and 3 sixes. Apart from that, Axar Patel scored an unbeaten 21 runs from the bat. Mahish Thikshana, Dushmantha Chamira, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dasun Shanaka and Charit Asalanka took one wicket each for the Sri Lankans.
